MEL Aviation has produced, under contract to the UK Ministry of Defence, Aircrew Equipment to protect individuals in NBC Conditions.

Both the portable and tactical ventilators are designed to supply the user with Breathable Filtered Air, when operating in NBC conditions.

These ventilators are used on both Rotary and fixed-wing Aircraft Types.

Specialised quick-release systems were designed by MEL, so that the portable ventilator could be fixed and safely operated in the Royal Air Force fleet of Boeing E3D Sentry Aircraft.
